With his debut solo album, “Inspiration”. Scot Ryder brings us lively acoustic guitar instrumentals inspired by his son Sebastion and in dedication to his grandfather, Jim. Firing together the styles of folk, flamenco, and classical guitar, his sound is a refreshingly welcome mix of sturdy finger picking, heartful harmonies, colorful splashes of melodic harmonics and just the right dose of percussive embellishment.
With no song over three minutes, and most just under two, each track is a complete mini-masterpiece, collectively providing a warm storm of seriously catchy melodies, hooks and riffs. Couple that fact with Ryder’s masterful execution on his Taylor guitar and superb recording throughout and you’ve got “Inspiration”!
