Let’s take a look at the basics of the power of Positive Thought, or Mental Magick –The added “k” in this primer serving to denote the presence of willpower rather than the perception of illusion.
Mental Magick Primer
You are what you think.
Accepting the idea that the human mind is equally as sacred as the human body; just as ‘you are what you eat’ applies to all functions bodily, ‘you are what you think’ applies to all things effected by your thoughts. A quick gleaning of your “self esteem” would immediately reveal the inner workings of a) how you think, and b) what you think. In elevating the health of self esteem, how you think must be examined before fine tuning what you actually think.
If we replace the word “think” with the word “project” then a deeper understanding of how our thoughts bear weight upon our lives comes into view. The idea that our private thoughts are self emanating, self contained, completely unknown to others, or somehow less potent than the thoughts we willfully project outward is a weak notion that needs correction in order to strengthen the health of the mind. In demolishing this notion of how we think and building in it’s place a new framework that upholds the idea that what we project inwardly, what we form inward to our mind about ourselves, others, everything, we find a direct connection between our thoughts with our capacity to consciously project outwardly in positive ways. Indeed, accessing the infinite charge, the Universe of Thought readily available to our inner battery of thoughts is directly governed by our current mental balance, our current state of mind.
Accepting that our minds are more like relays than source points of creation allows us to further question Possibility and forever fathom Infinity. The once dogged courtrooms set in stone declaring personal judgement and finality are now open to new discussion as fresh relays of positive as well as negative thought are now allowed to be consciously brought in to the jury box of the mind. “Keeping an open mind” is saying “yes” to this system of how we think.
Catching and killing negative thoughts that pass through our minds are a part of life.
Just as the ancient celts used a mental process of seeing a visible cord between two people as representing their earthly bond, sometimes mentally cutting the cord to help sever the tie, negative thoughts can easily be dealt with in any number of ways by mentally severing their connection from your mind.
The trick is to recognize and catch them as they pass through your mind, never allowing them to take root unnoticed. No matter the speed of your mental faculty, a healthy mind is acutely aware of what it’s thinking and is calibrated to keep out the clutter of useless, negative thoughts. The catch and kill process is enabled by using your creative power; your imagination. Once recognized and caught, a negative thought can do you no harm as you mentally disarm it by imagining it’s death and destruction. You can fight fire with fire, bury them deep in a desert or drown them in the depths of the sea. You can change them into eggs and break the eggs upon the ground recycling their energy. By unleashing your creative imagination you can consciously change how you think by practicing the art of elimination.
Like waves upon a shore both positive and negative thoughts endlessly roll in opportunities to review, accept, refuse, and explore and in turn lend to our outward expression, impression and manifestation. Before completely refuting a negative thought a simple nanosecond process can, and should, take place in a healthy mind before deciding to “off” it. This process allows the mind the possibility to turn a negative thought into a positive one. Indeed, some of the best ideas ever formed were those that came from reworking darker ideas into lighter shades in the arena of a balanced mind. Clearly not a black and white place, the overlapping grey spaces are where most of our mind action takes place in coming to decisions that yield positive outcomes.
Dispelling mental agreements: Agreements projected unto us by others negative words long held in our minds can now easily be rendered impotent, brought to the hatchet by being weighed and slayed accordingly by relays of thought that uphold positive thinking above all else. This dissolving of former thought should be immediately replaced with a positive thought, stance, decree or declaration. Now the mar and void created by negative thought forms are degraded and healed in direct proportion to the amount of energy spent reinforcing their positive replacements.
Let go of your negative past, completely. It’s in the past so just let it go. You alone have chosen to resurrect your negative event back to life each and every time you make the conscious decision to think about it.
If we are clouded with negativity in how we go about thinking then our choices of what to think about will be limited by our negativity. If we are relatively free of past negativity then we can easily go about choosing positive things to think about and in turn easily create positive results in our lives.
Just as our thoughts have been intricately held in place by previous thoughts intricately held in place since the moment we were born, so have our opinions, beliefs and perceptions been held in place only to be changed by our conscious will reweaving them.
What you think about anything is biased by something you have already thought about. If not, then read no further for you have Original Thought and are the source of all creation! It is only when we discover that all of our thoughts are biased by what we have already thought about, been taught and told, what we have heard or read about, and what we have personally lived and learned that we realize the true significance in our ability to choose what we think about.
It is our choice to choose what we think about that defines us as individuals. How we think defines what we think about. What we think about defines us in that what we think about manifests into what we actually do.
As we flex and grow our willpower in positive ways within the mental domain we find that what we manifest from our outward reality is very close to what we have put forth in our mind. The result of this basic equation is the old ‘you reap what ye sow’, the only difference being that the harvest reaped comes from the seeds of our mind. Consciously modifying how you think will mark positive changes in how you are perceived by others as you are no longer burdened by the weight of negative thoughts in your head. This in turn allows your mind to focus on the power of positive thought; Mental Magick.
Every day is a gift
Every moment precious
Every thought potentially sacred
Every word ultimately powerful
